01 · YOUR TRAVEL QUESTIONS

Getting Started

A thoughtful journey starts with a conversation.

What can Anchor & Altitude help me plan?

From a relaxing cruise to a boutique hotel escape or a multi-stop international vacation, we help turn your ideas into a personal travel plan. Explore cruises, hotels and resorts, tailored itineraries, excursions, and international flight assistance—all shaped around your interests, timing, and budget.

How do I start planning with you?

Begin in Trip Studio to share your travel ideas, or use the Contact page to tell us what you have in mind. Include your dates, travelers, destination ideas, and approximate budget so the next conversation has a helpful starting point.

What is Trip Studio?

Trip Studio is a place to bring your travel ideas together. Share destinations, preferences, dates, and the details that make a journey yours, then use those ideas to start planning with us. Sharing an idea does not confirm a reservation; pricing and availability are confirmed when you book.

Can you help if I have not chosen a destination?

Absolutely. Start with how you want the trip to feel: a restful beach escape, a culture-filled city stay, time at sea, or a little of everything. Your preferred season, flight comfort, pace, and budget can help us narrow the possibilities.

Why work with a travel advisor?

You have dedicated support to help connect the pieces: comparing options, choosing stays and experiences, and understanding the details before you book. We bring a personal planning approach and access to Fora Travel’s partner network, with eligible amenities depending on the property and booking.

02 · YOUR TRAVEL QUESTIONS

Planning & Budget

Travel designed around your priorities.

How far ahead should I reach out?

As soon as you have an idea. Popular travel dates, specific cruise cabins, and sought-after hotels can fill early. More time usually gives you more choices, especially for groups or complex itineraries. If your trip is coming up soon, share your dates and we can explore what is available.

What information is helpful for my inquiry?

Share where you would like to go, your preferred dates and flexibility, the number and ages of travelers, your departure city, and your must-haves. Include an approximate total budget and whether it should cover flights, lodging, cruises, transfers, and activities.

Can you plan around my budget?

Yes—your priorities help guide the options. Tell us where you would like to spend more and where you are flexible. Together, we can compare choices and tradeoffs, with inclusions and potential extras explained before you decide. Prices depend on dates, availability, and the travel providers.

Do you help with families, groups, or celebrations?

Share who is traveling and what you are celebrating, whether it is a family getaway, a couples’ escape, or a trip with friends. We can discuss suitable stays, cabins, and experiences. Group requirements, room arrangements, and any special requests are reviewed with the relevant providers.

Is there a fee for planning?

The scope of a trip can vary from a hotel booking to a detailed, multi-stop itinerary. Ask us about any applicable planning or service fees for your request; these should be discussed before you proceed. Your proposal and booking terms will explain the costs relevant to your journey.

03 · YOUR TRAVEL QUESTIONS

Booking & Payments

Clarity before you commit.

Is my trip booked when I submit an inquiry?

An inquiry starts the planning conversation. It does not hold space, lock a price, or confirm travel. A booking is confirmed after the required approvals, traveler details, and payment steps are completed and confirmation is issued by the provider.

How do deposits and final payments work?

Deposit amounts, payment schedules, and final-payment deadlines depend on the hotel, cruise line, tour operator, and selected rate. Review the terms for each part of your trip before paying, and keep the deadlines shown in your confirmation.

Can prices change while I am deciding?

Yes. Travel prices and availability can change until a reservation is confirmed under the provider’s terms. A quote is a snapshot of the options available at that time. Ask us to reconfirm the price, inclusions, and conditions when you are ready to book.

What if I need to change or cancel my trip?

Contact us as soon as your plans change. Refunds, credits, change fees, and cancellation penalties depend on each reservation’s terms and timing. Some rates are nonrefundable, and a replacement booking may cost more. Review your specific conditions before making a decision.

How should I share payment and traveler details?

Use the secure process provided for your booking. Please do not put credit-card numbers, passport numbers, or other sensitive documents in a general inquiry or Trip Studio message. We can explain what is needed and how to provide it for the reservation.

04 · YOUR TRAVEL QUESTIONS

Cruises & Ocean Escapes

Find your kind of voyage.

Can you help me choose my first cruise?

Yes. Share the destinations you are curious about, your preferred trip length, who is traveling, and the onboard atmosphere you enjoy. We can help compare cruise lines, ships, itineraries, staterooms, and excursions so the voyage suits your travel style.

What is usually included in a cruise fare?

Many cruise fares include your stateroom, selected dining, and onboard entertainment. Specialty dining, beverages, Wi-Fi, excursions, spa services, and gratuities may cost extra. Inclusions vary by cruise line and fare, so compare the exact package rather than assuming everything is included.

Which stateroom should I choose?

Think about space, natural light, a private balcony, and location on the ship. Connecting rooms, accessible features, and proximity to elevators or venues may also matter. We can help compare the available categories and their costs; specific cabins remain subject to availability.

Can you help with hotels, transfers, and excursions around my cruise?

Tell us about your full journey, including your arrival plans, port transportation, and time before or after sailing. These pieces can be explored alongside the cruise. They may be separate reservations with their own prices, schedules, and cancellation terms.

Do I need a passport for a cruise?

Required documents depend on your citizenship, sailing itinerary, departure port, and cruise line. Do not assume the same rules apply to every sailing. Check your cruise line’s requirements and the official travel guidance well before departure, including any flights or unexpected return arrangements.

05 · YOUR TRAVEL QUESTIONS

Hotels & Tailored Experiences

The details that make it yours.

What kinds of hotels and resorts can you help me book?

From boutique city hotels to beachfront resorts and celebrated properties, the focus is on the stay that fits your journey. Share your preferred atmosphere, location, room setup, and budget, along with the little details that matter most to you.

Can a hotel booking include extra amenities?

Eligible bookings through Fora’s preferred partners may offer amenities such as breakfast, a property credit, or other benefits. The exact perks depend on the property, program, rate, and booking. We can confirm what is included with the option you select.

Are upgrades or early check-in guaranteed?

Many upgrades, early check-in, and late checkout benefits are subject to availability and the property’s terms. They should be treated as a welcome possibility unless your confirmation specifically guarantees them. Book the room category and arrival arrangements you need for your comfort.

Can you arrange tours and personalized itineraries?

Share the experiences you would love to have, from food and culture to scenery and time to unwind. We can help explore excursions and build an itinerary around your pace. Availability, inclusions, activity requirements, and cancellation terms depend on the experience provider.

Can you help with flights and all-inclusive stays?

International flight assistance can be discussed as part of your trip; available support and fees depend on the itinerary. For all-inclusive resorts, we can help compare what each property includes. Dining options, premium drinks, activities, transfers, and other extras vary by resort and package.

06 · YOUR TRAVEL QUESTIONS

Before You Travel

A little preparation. More room to enjoy.

How do I check passport and visa requirements?

Requirements depend on your citizenship, destination, transit points, and trip dates. Check the destination’s official guidance and your passport’s validity early—some places require validity beyond your travel dates. U.S. travelers can start with the State Department’s travel checklist. Travelers remain responsible for the documents required for their journey.

Should I consider travel insurance?

Consider which risks you want to protect against, such as cancellation, medical expenses abroad, or evacuation. Coverage, exclusions, eligibility, and purchase deadlines vary by policy. Read the plan carefully and ask the insurer about your circumstances; no policy covers every event. See the State Department’s insurance guidance for an overview.

What should I review on my confirmations?

Check traveler names against the documents you will use, along with dates, destinations, room or cabin categories, flight details, inclusions, and payment deadlines. Let us know promptly if something looks incorrect. Correcting a detail later can involve provider fees or availability limits.

Can you help with accessibility or dietary requests?

Share your needs early so we can ask the relevant hotel, cruise line, or experience provider about available arrangements. Specific facilities and accommodations must be confirmed with the provider. Special requests are subject to the provider’s capabilities and are not automatically guaranteed.

What if something changes during my trip?

For an immediate issue, contact the airline, hotel, cruise line, or local provider using the details in your travel documents, and keep us informed so we can help with the arrangements we booked. For emergencies, use local emergency services; for an insurance claim, contact your insurer’s assistance team.
